Band - Geeta

Geeta, a self taught, multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter and poet from Montreal has been creating sounds and words since many years. She composes with a real, sensitive and raw vibe influenced by her imagination, freedom, madness, people, art and life. She plays all instruments on her albums, producing, recording, and mixing all on her own.

She is well recognized for giving powerful live performances. She combines piano and keyboards with English and French poetry sang with depth, expression with raw intensity and softness. With her wide unique vocal range, Geeta carries along the audience towards cinematographic surreal landscapes.

She has collaborated with several international artists in music, cinema, multi-media and video games. She participated at the Glastonbury Festival in England, New Media Festival, Montreal en lumières, Festival des Voix D’Amériques, Les Francofolies with Les filles qui ont de la gueule and the Fringe Festival…She just got back from a 3 week tour in France and Switzerland.

She is presently working on the production of her new show in Fall 2012 with the help of the Quebec Council of Arts.
