Band - Giovanni Caselle

Giovanni Casella was born in Ferrara, Italy in 1964 and after completing his piano studies with Maria Golia in the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Torino, he received his diploma from that Conservatory with high honors. He has been a winner of numerous first prizes in national piano competition as well as a third prize in the International Piano Competition in Cantù in 1994. He has partecipated in many important Italian concert season (Turin Auditorium RAI, Milan Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi, Bergamo Società del quartetto, Genoa Teatro Carlo Felice, Florence Teatro La Pergola, Rome Villa Medici, Stresa Settimane musicali, Parma Teatro Regio, Camerino Festival di musica da camera as well as in the cities of Reggio Emilia, Latina, Rovereto, Ravello etc. ) and abroad (London St. John Smith Square, the Wolfsburg Festival in Switzerland) as a soloist and in chamber ensembles winning praise from the public as well as critics. In duo formation he has performed with important violinists such as Bin Huang, Soovin Kim, Sayaka Shoji, Mariusz Patyra and Mengla Huang in Italy and abroad. As a soloist he has performed with the Orchetra dei Giovani del Mediterraneo in Rome, Italy, in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille in France, in Barcellona, Spain and with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Brasov in Romania. He is the official pianist of Nicolò Paganini International Violin Competition in Genoa, Italy.
