Band - Jo Snyder

Since Anthem Red, Snyders old band split up, she decided to move on as a solo artist. Amidst all these folk copycats we have these days, Snyder is coming from of a more solid, grounded singer-/somgrwriter background.

Leaning more towards balledesque songs then sweet, overthetop folk Pop she still believes in her Punk roots and keeps them as a lifechanging experience that Punk can be. Bands like Leatherface or personal friends Propagandhi are still way more present than trendy swedish folk hypes. Always a welcome comparision will be John K. Samson (Weakerthans) as hes a friend and besides sharing personal and political views they both write these deep ballads about struggling in a world that is partly cruel, funny, absurd and/or more or less build for the prosperous, well doing people around. Also her songs are reminiscent of some Johnny Cash and acoustic Cardigans stuff.

Being on tour with an acoustic and an electric guitar she keeps her live appearances entertaining but simple and charming and will play some new songs, some Anthem Red songs, some Sixty Stories and some Painted Thin.
