25.11. - 27.11. 2nd ITALIAN JAZZ FESTIVAL IN BERLIN
Mitveranstalter: Italienisches Kulturinstitut Berlin
Artistic direction: Andrea Marcelli

150th Anniversary of Italian Unification ITALY UNITED BY THE MELODY

Eleven Italian soloists from nine regions of Italy, and two German soloists, will perform three concerts at the Kunstfabrick Schlot in Berlin-Mitte on November 25,26,27.
Three unforgetable evening of Jazz organized by Andrea Marcelli and the Italian Cultural Institute Berlin. An exceptional encounter between some of the most interesting musicians from the Italian Jazz scene coming from Italy specifically for these concerts. From pianist Andrea Pozza, and saxophonist
Robert Bonisolo to bandoneonist Paolo Russo and harmonicist Max De Aloe to Eva Spagna and
Nicola Sergio and many others.
Diverse musical "dialects" fusing magically and directing toward a creative road always based on
sincere musical dialog. The bands will propose both original compositions and rearrangements of
famous Italian melodies from different parts and historic periods of Italy. It struck that Italy was
united by the melody long before it was united politically!
