Three foot fi ve and weighing just 20 pounds! The one and only musical artist that knows
all there is to know about the fi ne game of snooker! I proudly present to you the one man
band, the tap-dancing pianoman, Mr One Punch, straight from the garden of Eden: Micke
from Sweden!
Also known as Micke Lohse, also known as the organplayer from Swedens fi nest band
Atomic Swing. I recorded my piano album ” This Ain ́t The End” with a handful of rat
poison in the dark woods of Sweden. Produced by Janove Ottesen (Kaizers Orchestra),
hoasted by the jazztrumpet of Sjur Miljeteig (The Leather Fashion) and a frequent stream
of norwegian vagabond musicians coming and going.
Ever since I heard my father play songs by Hugo Wolf and Robert Schumann I knew that
the stories I needed to tell were best accompanied with the sound of a piano. For me these
songs and recordings are a very egoistic act of my own mind. Although I can appreciate
the possibility of other people being able to here my songs, I must confess that they are
mainly for my wife, my cat Ziggy, and my serial killer neighbour.
The future is unknown, as far as I ́m concerned, and I kind of like it to stay that way as
long as I have a pair of nice shoes on my feet. I ́ve travelled a long way to get this far and
I wouldn ́t have the money to pay for a returnticket anyway. I`d rather die on the verge of
success than on my neighbour ́s door steps.
I drive a rusty Volvo PV –62, the radiator is broken and I ́ve played and toured with many
great artists such as Atomic Swing, Kaizers Orchestra, Janove Ottesen, Stefan Sundström,
Pugh Rogefeldt, The Solution, Ulf Stureson, Thee Ultra Bimboos, This Perfect Day, The
Kooks, Millencollin, Staffan Hellstrand, Fjodor Eriksson, Gram Parsons Projekt, Voice of a
Generation, Uno Svenningsson, Magnus Uggla, Plura Johansson, Magnus Carlsson, Sara
Isaksson, Docenterna, Paul Young, Bonnie Tyler and others. People tell me I look a lot like
Leif Pagrotsky and I ́ve shaken the hand of the majesty King Karl-Gustav in Sapporo.
