When Stano Palúch, highly recognised violinist and multi-instrumentalist met Marcel Comendant, Moldavian cimbalom player at The Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica in 2004, it was love at the first sight. Slovak folk material enriched with Balkan features. modern ethno-jazz instrumental. With their first album they soon became highly evaluated from the prestigious BBC Music Magazine. Beside countless concerts in Slovakia, Pacora Trio performed festivals and venues in European cities. In 2007 Pacora Trio premiered their compositions for orchestra together with Brno Philharmonic,Bratislava Chamber Soloists, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, Slovak Philharmonic, Slovak State Philharmonic Košice, and Bohuslav Martin? Philharmonic Orchestra, The Prague Symphony Orchestra.
In 2013 they received the prestigious prize And?l (Angel) in the category World Music in 2013 with and album of Jitka Šuranská. The Trio was selected by the international jury as the first Slovak representative to the music fair Womex 2015 in Budapest, followed by the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Israel.
Pacora Trio has recorded for Czech and Slovak Radio and Televisions, ORF and numerous films.
