I was on one of her Germany/Denmark tour concerts in the beginning of 2015. I din't know her before that day but I was a fan right away. Nice romantic and relaxed songs, a voice that can make you purr ;-) and a verry charming stage presence. A concert is always worth a visit!

Melanie Dekker's new CD 'Distant Star' reaches in and grabs your heart. There's more roots music style in these Dekker recordings than we've heard on her other albums; this time she's also incorporated her banjo playing in tracks and her lyrics couldn't be more potent. The songs about longing, like "Distant Star" & "Give My Heart A Home", tug hard at the heart. And the the uplifting numbers like "Worry Gets You Nowhere" & " You're Powerful" shed sunshine on the listener.
